Welcome to the Community Reach Web site.
The Community
Reach Partnership was formed to deliver the Market Town
Initiative into Brightlingsea, Alresford, Thorrington,
St Osyth and Frating. The Partnership have been
successful in delivering £338,000 of projects, mainly
through the Market Town Initiative, which has supported
projects
totaling more than £900,000 including matched funding
from various sources. Projects have included lasting
infrastructure such as the establishment of a foot ferry
service between Brightlingsea and St Osyth, Springmead
Gardens (a public park), various skate park facilities
and youth shelters for young people, as well as the
establishment of several successful Farmers Markets, the
support of a highly successful free outdoor Music
Festival attended by 8000+ people and the creation of a
small grants
programme which has supported more than 50 organisations
and clubs within the area.
The Partnership is
now engaged in the delivery of projects . A Steering
Group was elected
, whose job it is to
progress projects and ensure that the full allocation of
the grant is spent within our communities. If you have
